St. John the Apostle Patron Saint of friendship. St. John the Apostle was the youngest of the 12 apostles. He is refereed to as the "Beloved Disciple" as he remained loyal to Jesus, even in the final hours of his Passion.  John continued to write letters to Jesus' followers to encourage them to remain faithful to his teachings.  John's love and devotion to Jesus was beyond compare.  Because of this, John is known as the patron of friendship.
